It's round-up time at Children's Dentistry of West Georgia. We would love to meet your little wrangler.
Our office – as well as the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry – recommends that your child visits the dentist by his/her 1st birthday. Early visits prevent dental problems which also helps parents save money.
As a parent, you can help make your child's first visit to the dentist enjoyable and positive. You can tell them all about the visit in advance and let them know Dr. Patterson and our staff will explain all procedures and answer any questions. We recommend eliminating words that might cause unnecessary fear, such as “needle”, “shot”, “pull”, “drill” or “hurt”. Our office makes a practice of using words that explain treatment in a way that is fun and non-frightening to the child.
We invite you to stay with your child during the initial examination on their first visit. For future appointments, we recommend you allow your child to accompany our staff through the dental experience without you. Our purpose is simply to gain your child’s confidence and trust and to overcome any apprehension. However, if you choose to, you may come with your child to the treatment room. For the safety and privacy of all patients, other children who are not being treated should remain in the reception room with a supervising adult.
Please complete all insurance and health information forms prior to arriving for your visit. Click to download New Patient Forms.
